Research and Surveys
2022 Financial Performance Survey
Conducted by Dr. James Gaskin of Brigham Young University, this is the largest independent study on financial performance of nonprofits ever undertaken. The findings can be explored through an online tool which allows the user to compare results by tax status, budget size, and management model. The methodology assesses the 990s of more than 10,000 c(3) and c(6) organizations to analyze the financial performance from 2015 – 2019 of associations with budgets between $1M and $20M. The findings reaffirm a previous 2015 study conducted by the same research team. Sign up here to access your link to the tool
